Love Makes Us Rich...

Affirmation for Thursday November 5th

I stay in love despite the fireworks that go on around me...love is the solution, is the cure, is the medicine and when I know that my own heart holds the key to all my troubles I am a rich person indeed.

OUR path through life can be rocky.

There can be fireworks.

There can be struggle and strife.

There can be bricks hurled at us by other people....while we crave for the bouquets.

But there is only ever one solution when the going gets tough... and that is to remember who we really are which is LOVE.

The rich man or woman is the one who knows the truth of life.. that love is all there is. And nothing else is important.

Nothing else is important. Everything else keeps us poor. Our only wealth is the treasure trove of love that dwells in our heart.

Love is always the healer... love is always the solution to the problem... and love is the antidote to the snake bite.

Always.

Love sometimes requires healing, soothing gentle words in the face of harsh ones.

Love sometimes requires us to do nothing... not to enter into the drama of others but just to hold thoughts of peace and calm in our own heads.

Love sometimes requires us to change the energy... does it really serve us to return a brick at the person who has just hurled one at us?

But what is certain is that love is our inner energy.

Love is our background tune.

Love is our default programme.

And when we feel things spiralling out of control we just need to return to love.

We do so by, first of all, not letting others in our life take us away from that inner state of mind that we have of calm, peace, harmony, joy and love, sweet, love.

We do so by not allowing ourselves to be caught up in the hostile dramas of others...we remove ourselves from the battlefield, we do not play the game when it takes us away from who we really are.

We do so by accepting that just because someone in our life is not in the space of love does not mean that they have the right to take us out of our own space.

We can choose our bedfellows.

We can always choose not to consort with the violent, the discriminatory, the racist and the hostile.

There is no real connection between messed up ego personalities.

We are only joined by the heart.. we are only joined by our common loving essence.

So when someones goes beserk with the loaded gun we are wise to stay out of the way.. not to play the game or bow down to the energy that can well destroy our own human energy level.

We can love them for their inner core.

But we do not have to do battle with their out of control ego.

And the out of control ego can only be cured with love... so if it is receptive to verbal and physically connected love then this is fine but if not then our loving thoughts and intention might be the order of the day.

Our relationships can be our greatest teachers.

Because we simply learn so much about ourselves through them.
We learn what love is.. and what love is not... so clearly and so definitively.

But there is only one answer.

And that is LOVE

Love is all we need.

We can go to the doctor or therapist... we can take the drink.. we can have the drug or crave the addiction.

But the only cure is love.

And it is not too far away.. it is in our own heart... and needs to be poured over ourselves first and then others...

When a problem looms, when something needs to be sorted, turn to love.. or return to love, rather.

Then it can be healed.. then it can be solved... then we can have peace once again
