Success means different things to different people but there are certain common features of success which most people will agree and that is being happy, healthy and wealthy!
Actually there are no secrets because of the caring and sharing nature of people, the knowledge on how to be successful have always been there but the word "Secret" is commercialized because that's what people are looking for! They tend to believe that there is something else they don't know or people are hiding it from them! It is a psychological thing and marketers will always give the customers what they want or use it as a powerful strategy to get them to buy their products! The word "Secret" is definitely a very popular key word after the movie and the book "The Secret" was launched!
I am already 50 years old and have lived half a century! I was fortunate to have the experience of learning from masters and enlightened beings who shared with me the "secrets' to success. After attending hundreds of seminars and reading hundreds of books, I realized that it all boils down to helping people and that is what I want to share with you here, the formula for success found in these words: HELP PEOPLE.
H stands for HEART - you must be true to yourself and be true to others. Confucius said: Sincerity is the highest mark of a man! E stands for ETHICAL - you must do the right things. What is right or wrong? If the things you say or do hurt people, that is the wrong thing to do! If the things you say or do help people, that is the right thing to do, it is as simple as that! This is not coming from me, I am just the messenger, this wisdom comes from my spiritual teacher, Zopa Rinpoche. Buckminster Fuller said it very well: "Integrity is the essence of every thng."
L stands for LOVE - you must have the compassion to make life better for your loved ones, relatives and friends because basically everyone is the same, they want happiness, good health and wealth. They all want to be happy and free from suffering. Care enough to share and share enough to care. You can share your knowledge and wealth to help make life better and through your own ways help make this world a better place.
P stands for PEOPLE - you must understand why people think that way, why they act that way and why they say and do the things they do? As a marketer you must understand what the market wants and the market is made up of people who have common basic needs and wants! Do your market research and give great value to the market by offering them an irresistible offer that will benefit them greatly!
P stands for PATIENCE - you must wait for the right time to act and many farmers are smarter than people living in the city because they do not give up the well they are digging half way! They know that the water is there and they must dig deep enough to reach the water. When the farmer plants a crop he knows that certain crops may take two to four years before it is time to harvest and he is willing to wait for the time to harvest! Success is a process, it is a series of steps and it involves a certain period of time! Many people give up too soon and are not willing to wait for the harvest. They stop before the finishing line!
E stands for ENTERPRISING - you must think like an entrepreneur and see things that common people are not able to see. Sometimes opportunities will appear in front of people but they must develop the eyes to see them! That is why personal development and business education is very important for success! You must train and prepare yourself for opportunities so that when they appear you can recognize them and be able to grab the opportunity!
O stand for OBSERVATION - you must be aware of what's happening around you by observing what successful people are doing. It is very clear that if you want to be successful you must do what the successful people are doing, isn't it? You must take time to observe or do a bit of market research on what the successful people are doing to reach their level of success.
P stands for PERSEVERANCE - you must be willing to commit the time, money and effort to make it happen! There will be obstacles and challenges along the way and you must have the perseverance to pursue your goals in spite of problems, road blocks and stormy weather! You must be very clear on what you want and be willing to do whatever it takes ethically to achieve it!
L stands for LEVERAGE - you must educated yourself and that is why there is a saying: Education gives you the most leverage! You don't have to make your own costly mistakes, you can learn from other people's mistakes! If you think education is expensive, try ignorance! Ignorance can hurt you physically, emotionally and financially!
You must be willing to invest in personal development and business education to improve yourself and give you that competitive edge. HOW TO SPOT MONEY GAMES AND SCAMS!
There are money games and scams out there and there will always be as long as there are people who are looking for a lazy way to get rich and there are people who know the ways to take advantage of these lazy, greedy, ignorant or innocent people!
Here are a 5 simple pointers:
1. They will use a lot of hype and exaggeration and promises of high returns for very little effort. No top financial institution will be able to offer what they are offering to you!
2. Especially on the Internet, there will be promises of easy money with little effort, where you can enjoy a "push-button 24-hour money-making machine" when you buy their programs, just "plug it in" and push the button and you have "tons of money" flowing to you! And you can "stuff your inbox with cash!"
3. Whether offline or online, they will make it very difficult for you to withdraw the money or stop the program and will encourage you with lots of "dubious incentives" to put in more money into the program! And, of course, if you stop the program you will lose a lot!
4. Usually in the first year they will pay out generously and diligently to win the hearts and confidence of the people who will end up as the best promoters! They will rake in the money in the first two years and the third year is "pay day" time where the so-called "directors" will grab the money, find a good reason to close the company and run! Being a "Private Limited Company" some of the directors are devious enough to get away scot free! But the universal law of cause and effect will catch up with them!
Usually these "con artists" are ignorant or don't believe in this universal law. This universal law works every time! What you sow, you shall reap! It is very silly, foolish and stupid not to respect this universal law of cause and effect because you can run but you can never escape from it!
5. Usually people who are not financially intelligent or ignorant of financial principles will fall for such get-rich-quick schemes and sometimes because of the greed factor even supposedly intelligent people fall for it! Usually "con artists" are very convincing and good at persuading people!

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG WITH MLM?
We hear so much negative remarks about MLM from people who are ignorant or just do not understand how it works! The media and it seems journalists tend to focus on the negative experiences of those who joined the wrong MLM companies or companies in the disguise of MLM. We know there are lots of companies promoting money games and scams and disguise themselves as MLM companies! You do not call a wolf in a sheepskin a sheep!
Let's be honest once and for all, especially for those who are ignorant or do not understand MLM. This article is written for them too. I would like to ask them to stop their negative remarks on a business they do not understand or have no experience of it at all! You know there are good doctors and bad doctors but just because of a few bad doctors you will not condemn all doctors! Just because of a few bad MLM companies, you should not condemn the whole industry!
You also know from time to time there are incidences of recall of drugs that have caused hundreds of people to die, but you will not condemn the whole pharmaceutical industry, would you? You've heard of food poisoning at restaurants but that is not going to stop you from going to good restaurants to enjoy good food, isn't it?

A good way to check if the company is following the direct-selling association's rules and regulations is to call the local association for a list of their guidelines and use that to see if the company is following these guidelines which are there to protect the consumers from money games and scams!

HOW TO USE THIS SONG "WHY NETWORK MARKETING?" TO BUILD YOUR MLM BUSINESS!
Call it network marketing or multi-level marketing or in short, MLM, it is the same to me. In fact I am rather fond of the short version MLM which is a great acronym for Make Lots of Money, Make Life Meaningful, Meet Lots of Mentors and Make Love More!
I wrote the song "Why Network Marketing?" because I love this business and the lyrics came to my mind in seconds! You can use this song as an ice breaker or a door opener by asking your prospects if they have heard this song on YouTube? Why I love network marketing? Here's my story. I was working very hard as a Creative Director in an advertising agency and was lucky enough to win two free round-trip air-tickets in a shopping lucky draw to an exotic place in China but because of my busy work schedule I wasn't able to go and I offered one of the tickets to my Art Director because I thought he will appreciate the culture and art found in this exotic place! My boss overheard my offer and made it clear that we cannot take leave during this busy period and put it across in a rude manner. That is when I told myself this is it! Enough is enough! I am not going to put myself in a position where someone can talk to me so rudely and I have to take it because I needed the job! I want to break free! There must be a better way to earn a living and I can do better!
That was the last straw that broke the camel's back! I've work hard for others for over 12 years, I enjoyed my work in the travel and advertising industry but it was obvious I wasn't leveraging my time and felt burned out! In fact that time I couldn't date my beautiful girl friend working in Singapore Airlines because she was on flights most of the time and I was also on flights most of the time leading tour groups to USA and we never get the chance to see each other for one year!
