Subject: THE ENORMOUS POWER OF YOU AND ME

Affirmation for Wednesday November 11th

I know that I change the world by every small act of kindness, compassion or expression of love. I know that the world changes one person at a time and I should never underestimate the power of a small group of loving people to change the world in a deep and meaningful way.

SOMETIMES we think we have to join the government, start a crusade, appear on television or write a book to change the world.

We sometimes feel that unless we become an icon or a leader our voice will be an unimportant one... we will have no impact on the world.

But each of us, in our small corner of the world if you like... has the great power to change the world.

Yes, each of us is a world changer... even if we might underestimate our part in changing the universal consciousness of which we are all part of.

We deceive ourselves when we play down our importance... when we do not believe we are a front runner for change.

Because the world changes one person at a time... and we should never underestimate the power of a small group of people to bring long lasting and fundamental change.

Each time you or I think a loving thought... wish peace upon a part of the planet... or want to heal the hatred or anger that captures the hearts of so many...we are changing the collective consciousness of us all.

We are all part of a large energy gestalt and every time we think of love and peace we change that gestalt into the direction of harmony and peace for us.

But when we think angry thoughts, plan hostility or revenge then we move the gestalt to a state where we all might have to experience more violence and war.

So the power of you and I is more immense than we might ever realise.

Every thought we think, every action we undertake, everything we say, write or express... is changing the energy for us all.

So, therefore, how blessed are the peace makers.

So, therefore, how blessed are those who live in harmony and joy.

And how blessed are those who turn away from the rhetoric of anger, hatred and fear in favour of healing those who have lost their way.

So each time our eyes open to start living another day in this precious and all too short life of ours, let us make the conscious decision to change the world for the better this day and not for the worse.

And it is the small stuff that does it.

It is the small stuff that opens the hearts of others and ourselves.

As we open the hearts of others it has a ripple effect on the people in their lives and so the mood of open heartedness and kindness and compassion spreads across the globe.

It is as simple as that.

Leo Buscaglia never said truer words when writing: " Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the power to turn a life around."

Yes, each time we are kind, each time we express love and each time we show compassion and give understanding... we are changing lives for the better... as well as our own life for the better.

How often did we almost do something?

How often did we intend to do something but never quite did it?

How often did we promise something and did not keep it?

How often?

And yet the smallest loving gestures... the intention just to bring some love and happiness to people each day.. has enormous power to change the lives of all of us in the right direction.

In the direction of love.

Which is all we need. And which is what we all need!

So dear and so beautiful friend.. do open your heart and share what is going on for you on this subject or any subject
