A Personal Article Celebrating Life Written 20 Years Ago!

I was tidying my stack of written materials and was pleasantly surprised to find an article written on August 21, 1987. It was on a hotel stationery of Park Hotel in Hong Kong! It was nostalgic because it took me back 20 years when I was only 30 years old! It must have been during one of my business trips.
The title was "Celebration of Life!"

This morning will be a wonderful day! I thank God that I am alive and well. I'm very grateful for all the wonderful blessings that have been given to me.

I appreciate very much my loving and wonderful family and I consider myself a most fortunate man with the treasures of loving father, mother, brother, sisters and great friends.

I'm fully aware of life's precious gifts, the air I breathe, the food, the water and my beautiful body that keeps me alive.

I'm the greatest miracle and knowing this I treat my family, friends and anybody with the same respect. Today I will do my best and give more than what is expected of me for I realized that only when we give do we receive, yet I will give with no expectation of rewards for the joy of giving is reward enough and I know through the wonderful law of karma I will have enough to give others.

I celebrate life every second and every minute like the beating of my heart for I know life can be fleeting like the flash of a lightning and I will always treasure and appreciate every minute that I have.

My eyes see beauty and wonders of the world and my eyes also see ugliness and disorders of the world yet I will not let the ulginess and disorders blind me from the beauty and wonders and I realized my ability to see both is my duty to contribute and do my part in restoring beauty and order in my own little ways.

There is ugliness and disorder because men make it so and if we all co-operate and being the greatest miracle created by God, all things are possible. There are things beyond my understanding and I do not seek all the answers for I know that if we know everything then we cease to exist.

I know I'm only human and have been given the greatest power of love and the ability to believe, choose and pray.

I will let love fill me completely and with all my senses I will celebrate life and invite all to join me for so few know of this celebration which is every minute and not some long awaiting festival or weekend party.

When I celebrate life I will smile many times and see the beauty and wonders of life constantly. My eyes will shine with joy and delight. I will have a positive mental attitude and whenever I breathe I'm so much aware of the life forces and enjoy the simple pleasure of breathing and knowing I'm alive and well. When I drink and eat I will be very thankful for these gifts of life that keep me alive.

When I shake somebody's hand or embrace somebody I love I will treasure the precious moment of two hearts touching one another and they will feel the love in my touch and if they don't have the chance to touch me, they will see the love in my eyes and they will know me when we celebrate life together!

Whether it is offline or online, the business must be simple, profitable and duplicatable. The start up cost must be affordably and preferably less than $200 to get started. The monthly operating cost must low and preferably less than $150 to enable people to participate in the business for at least 12 months because for most people they need about 6 to 12 months to learn the business and make the business work for them.

Do not expect too much in your first three months because that period is where you learn how to do the business, but you must be true to yourself and commit the time, money and effort to make your business work for you! To earn $300 to $1,000 or more a month, you need to consistently put in 5 hours or more a week and for serious income from $3,000 to $10,000 or more a month, you must put in 20 hours or more a week.

There are eight critical activities you must do. 1. You must build a list of prospects. 2. You must offer your business to your prospects either through an email or over a cup of coffee. 3. You must be able to turn your prospect into your business partner or part of your marketing team. 4. You must follow up on your marketing team by giving them all the information and assistance they need to get their business going. 5. You must attend the necessary training available to you and get your team to do the same. 6. You must recognize, review and recharge. You must recognize achievement and taking time off to celebrate success. You must review what you have done, whether right or wrong that give you the results you are getting. You must recharge yourself and your marketing team by reading good books and attending training. 7. You must constantly build your list of contacts through networking offline and online. 8. You must lead by example and do what the leaders are doing!

There are no secrets to success, you can find all the information you need from the leaders in your business and you are only a few feet away from your computer which gives you access to a wealth of information on the Internet! Vince Lombardi said it very well: "The difference between a successful person and others in not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will."

"Eat, eat, eat, work, work, work, sleep, sleep, sleep, than die!" These were the words form my spiritual guru, Lama Thubten Tsering, who was very kind to spend time with us and share his wisdom! We were at a Chinese restaurant and our guru was watching a few businessmen talking about their businesses excitedly and he made these profound comment which made us think there is definitely more to it in life than just living and making money!

Yes, we have to eat, we have to work, we have to sleep and we have to die sooner or later and that realization makes us think further on what is our purpose on earth and what makes a meaningful life?

I've conducted many seminars and I always share the importance of living a balanced life! Death is very certain but the time of death is very uncertain! We have experienced or witnessed how many people die it strange ways and unexpectedly and we tend to take our loved ones and friends for granted and expect them to live forever, they don't! Have you ever experienced trying to keep in touch with an old friend and later finding out that he is no longer around - he has left this world for good! Time flies and people die! We must treasure our loved ones, relatives and friends and be kind to them and help them whenever we can because they are not going to be around forever!

Many people are still not clear on what is right and wrong and I learned this from my spiritual teacher, Zopa Rinpoche at the Root Institute in India where he gave a teaching. He shared with us that if it hurt people it is wrong and if it benefit people it is right, it is as simple as that! So what you think, say or act, you got to ask yourself is it going to hurt or help people?

Every cause has an effect and every effect has a cause! When you look deeper into the effects or results of your life, you will realize that we are where we are today it is because of the things we think, do and say!

The state of your health depends on the food you are eating and the amount of exercise you do! The state of your wealth depends on what you think, say and do!

Charlie Tremendous Jones said it very well: "Five years from today the difference in your life will be because of the books you read and the people you meet!" You got to check on the things that go into your mind and the kind of people you are mixing with because they definitely will have a great influence on your beliefs, words and actions! There is a popular saying: Birds of a feather flock together. If you want to be rich, you have to mix with the rich and learn from them.

Zig Ziglar has given a very simple formula for success: "You can have everything you want in life if you just help enough people to get what they want in life." People basically want to be happy, healthy and wealthy! The key words are "Help People" You must constantly think of ways to help people and the more people you help the wealthier you will become! Look at all the rich and successful people and when you study how they became successful, you realized that everyone of them created wealth by providing value in the form of products or services that benefited people!
