A man was walking along a dusty road towards a village
and he saw a big rock in the middle of the road, many villagers
rushing to work, saw it too, and they just walk around it but
not this man.
This man started to think: “What if some old folks because
of their poor eyesight tripped over the rock or a bullock cart
may accidentally hit against it?” He realized that this rock
could cause some serious accidents!
It was a big heavy rock which he could not move it himself,
so he asked a few strangers to help him, many were rushing
to work and didn’t respond to his request except for a kind

A GREAT LESSON FROM ABRAHAM LINCOLN!
You may have experienced so called "defeats" or "failures" in 2007 but let that not keep you from focussing on achieving your dreams in 2008. Experiences good or bad only make you stronger and wiser!
Many people seem to be ignorant that many successful people had to go through a string of "failures" or challenges before they became successful!
And that is why very few achieve success because they give up on their dreams too soon after facing a few "setbacks", "failures" and "challenges".
There are no "failures", only "learning experiences" and the only "failure" is to give up on your dreams!
I highly recommend this book: Dare To Fail by Billi P.S. Lim
Here's a classic example of a great man who failed his way to success!
Abraham Lincoln didn't let his failures stop him from becoming the 16th President of USA!
He failed as a business man - as a storekeeper.
He failed as a farmer - he despised this work.

When elected to the legislature he failed when he sought the office of speaker.
He failed in his first attempt to go to Congress.
He failed when he sought the appointment to the United States Land Office.

Yes, the secrets to success is found in this word MONEY which is the acronym for Mind, Opportunities, Numbers, Education, and Yes!
Now let's start with your MIND. You've heard it before you are what you think! Are you thinking like a winner or a loser? If you want success you cannot think like a loser? So to find out how winners think, look for winners and observe how they talk and walk, yes, how they walk because how you walk says a lot about you! So the walking comes first or the thinking comes first? The thinking comes first! You can't walk like a winner when you are thinking like a loser.
Right now, do you feel positive or negative? What are the thoughts that are going through your mind now? If they are negative, you are thinking like a loser, if they are positive, you are thinking like a winner. Charlie Tremendous Jones said it very well: Five years from today the difference in your life will be because of the books you read and the people you meet. If you want to be a winner, mix with winners - birds of a feather flock together. Stay away from losers, their negative thoughts and words will not help you but affect you in a negative way. But that doesn't mean you disrespect them or do not help them, what I mean is stay away from those who choose to live that way and are not willing to change, do not swim upstream, only help those who want to be helped.
Personal development is one of the keys to success. Read good books, attend courses and seminars to improve yourself. Spend time discovering what you really want in life. Do not dissipate your energy by trying to do too many things at one time, learn the power of focus and work with a team. 10 GREAT LESSONS I LEARNED IN 30 YEARS!

Recently I celebrated my 50th birthday and
I asked myself what great lessons did I learn
in 30 years?
Imagine I started like any young 20-year old
with lots of dreams!
I am sure you can benefit from some of these
great lessons that will help you make 2008
a great year!
1. You are what you think. (I learned this from
many great sages)
2. Five years from today the difference in your
life will be because of the books you read and
the people you meet. (I learned this from
Charlie Tremendous Jones)
3, What you sow, you shall reap. (I learned this
from many great sages and it is also a common
teaching found in many great religion)
4. Love is the greatest force on earth and
combined it with wisdom, you can easily
achieve your dreams! (I learned this from the
sages and from my own experiences)
5. "Son, always remember when you look into
the mirror you see a Chinese face." (Simple
lesson from my wonderful father about not
losing my identity and culture before I left
for my trip to USA for studies)
6. Are you happy? Check yourself. You make it!
(Lessons from my spiritual teacher, Lama Tsering)
7. To be successful, learn from those who are successful.
(Many of my gurus taught this lesson!)
8. "Sincerity is the highest mark of a man"
Always be true to yourself and others.
(I learned this from Confucius and many enlightened beings
also gave this great advice!)
9. Learn from your mistakes and fail your way
to success. The only failure is to give up on
your dreams! (I learned this from many successful
people who are my mentors)
10. Good or bad experiences only make you stronger
and wiser! (I learned this from my experiences!)
