Recently I celebrated my 50th birthday and
I asked myself what great lessons did I learn
in 30 years?
Imagine I started like any young 20-year old
with lots of dreams!
I am sure you can benefit from some of these
great lessons that will help you make 2008
a great year!
1. You are what you think. (I learned this from
many great sages)
2. Five years from today the difference in your
life will be because of the books you read and
the people you meet. (I learned this from
Charlie Tremendous Jones)
3, What you sow, you shall reap. (I learned this
from many great sages and it is also a common
teaching found in many great religion)
4. Love is the greatest force on earth and
combined it with wisdom, you can easily
achieve your dreams! (I learned this from the
sages and from my own experiences)
5. "Son, always remember when you look into
the mirror you see a Chinese face." (Simple
lesson from my wonderful father about not
losing my identity and culture before I left
for my trip to USA for studies)
6. Are you happy? Check yourself. You make it!
(Lessons from my spiritual teacher, Lama Tsering)
7. To be successful, learn from those who are successful.
(Many of my gurus taught this lesson!)
8. "Sincerity is the highest mark of a man"
Always be true to yourself and others.
(I learned this from Confucius and many enlightened beings
also gave this great advice!)
9. Learn from your mistakes and fail your way
to success. The only failure is to give up on
your dreams! (I learned this from many successful
people who are my mentors)
10. Good or bad experiences only make you stronger
and wiser! (I learned this from my experiences!)
