First thing I want to make it clear is there are no secrets to success, successful people have all along been willing to share their "secrets" to people who have a good heart, sincere and willing to learn because it is their nature to help people and make this world a better place! The word "secret" is simply a marketing word to attract people to read the article, book or to buy the product!
I learned the "secrets" to success from enlightened beings, sages and successful people, I was fortunate enough to meet some of them and if you are not able to meet them, you can always learn from them through the books they have written!
The Buddha made it very clear: "You are what you think."
Here's a great teaching from my spiritual teacher, Zopa Rinpoche, "Everyday whether you have problems or happiness is because of what you do with your mind."
I was fortunate to spend lots of time with my spiritual teacher, Lama Tsering who taught us to think through these simple powerful lessons: "Are you happy?" "Check Yourself", "You Make it"
Confucius said: "Sincerity is the highest mark of a man"
Buckminster Fuller said: "Integrity is the essence of everything."
Albert Einstein said: "Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will get you everywhere."
There are many definitions of success, here's one of the great definitions by Ralph Waldo Emerson:
"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
I will share with you the essence of my success in this short article.
You will definitely achieve happiness, good health and prosperity when you work with these 10 universal laws. I teach them at my training and "Create Wealth And Live Your Dreams" seminars. I will just briefly touch on these universal laws.
1. The Law of Love. Love and wisdom is your key to happiness and success. Invest time, money and effort in personal development.
2. The Law of Cause and Effect. What you sow, you shall reap. When you help people, you are helping yourself, when you hurt people, you are hurting yourself!
3. The Law of Giving and Receiving. You cannot give without receiving and you cannot receive without giving, it is like day and night they go together!
4. The Law of Forgiving and Rewarding. Learn to forgive because everyone wants to be forgiven and learn to reward because everyone wants to be rewarded!
5. The Law of Trusting and Believing. How can you be successful if people do not trust you or believe in you? How can you be successful if you do not trust yourself and believe in yourself?
6. The Law of Benefiting Others. We are here to serve and help others, when you have gained wisdom from experience and association with wise people, you will realize that it is our responsibility to serve and help others!
7. The Law of Gratitude. The law of gratitude is the law of abundance, you will have more of what you are grateful for! Everyone wants to be appreciated and when you show your appreciation and gratitude you will attract good people, good things and events to you!
8. The Law of Averages. Do whatever it takes ethically to achieve your dreams. The law of averages will never fail you - you just got to do enough to get the results you want!
9. The Law of Multiplication. Mother nature applies this law to ensure a world of abundance. You can count the seeds in an apple but you cannot count the apples in the seeds!
10. The Law of Integrity. Be sincere, say what you mean and mean what you say and deliver what you promised! The truth shall set you free!
Basically to be successful, you must commit time, money and effort to learn from those who are successful. It is a simple strategy but many people are not applying it. It is about being, doing and having. Many have attended seminars conducted by successful people but because the "being" was not there, they were not able to do the "doing" and hence could not enjoy the "having". For the "being" to happen, you need inspiration and a source of support from a good friend, a spiritual teacher or a proven and tested system that will ensure your success! Charlie Tremendous Jones said it very well: Five years from today, the difference in your life will be because of the books you read and the people you meet!
